Signs of Congenital Heart Defect

If, somehow, your child was not diagnosed with Congenital Heart Defect but is born with these signs–immediately have the child checked out.  These are also signs to expect if your child was diagnosed with a Congenital heart defect after the child is born and your child is awaiting surgery.  Many times, to prevent fluid build up the child will be given Lasix (furosemide) to prevent fluid retention.
